Biography

Sam is a British reportage photographer born in Durham in 1976 and moved to London in 1986.

Sam's photographic career began in 2003 after one of his regular postings on Fotolog.net was spotted and subsequently published by Thames & Hudson.

Sam went on to assist Louis Girardi based in London. Sam's work with Louis saw him assisting on shoots for Smirnoff, Chopard, GQ, Condé NastTraveller & Tattler.

Over 12 years Sam has built up a body of work which has been enlisted by a broad spectrum of sectors including high-end jewellers, telecoms, TV, sporting organisations and charities.

Sam’s clients include 3 Mobile, Harry Winston, Harvey Nichols, Timex, Timebank, Marie Curie, Endemol (For Channel 4), Capital Radio, Thomas Cook Sport, National Operatic & Dramatic Association.

Harry Callahan, Joel Meyerowitz, William Klien, Andreas Gursky, Robert Frank, Bruce Davidson, William Eggleston, Philip-Lorca diCorcia, Stephen Shore Irving Pen and Martin Parr.
